9 August 2006Happy Birthday Singapore (
Hah.. who cares as long as it's a holiday)! See, if we have more public holiday I'll have more time to blog.
Shocked to see the old man
cleaning up the office after I came back from completion! Ahh!!! Are we seeing things? Is the weather too hot out there that make me hallucinate? I took some pix to confirm that I'm not.

"
I look like the Indian worker who came and clean up for us." He is vacuuming the floor when we left for the day. I think I start to have different opinion of him!
I left exactly at 6:30 and went for my hair-colour-shine appointment. I didn't know that
plastic cling wrap could be so useful!

Who knows there are firework displays on the eve of National day? Yup, we don't and hence we're trapped in a stupid jam all the way from my office to Marina Sq. We wanted to have our dinner at Sakae Sushi badly so I asked Yigui to Q for us first. 2145. "The waiter says the last order is at 10". We should be able to make it as there's only 2 couples infront of us. 2158. "
Sorry we are closed". We're already fumming for gettin stuck in the jam and now was told that we won't be able to have our dinner?! My God! I raised my voice at the floor manager. "
We were told that the LAST ORDER is at 10, not CLOSED at 10!" "
I'm sorry but we're closed." "
Look at your watch, it shows 9:59." "
Yes, but it's just a minute." "
So to say that you are CLOSED AT 9:59?!!!!!!!" "
Sorry, we're closed." I think I was
shouting... Gerald was upset too, I think he almost punched that fellow. When we decided to leave Marina Sq, I popped into Spageddies, "Are you closed?" "No." Hurrah! The food was so-so, not worth the bill of
$107.50. BUT the
Escargot tastes so nice!!! Other than that... LOUSY!
