A week of happy events

19 March 2005
It's been a week?! Oh my... Time really flies. Though some problems are met at work, but it's a learning process afterall! Going to Pakistan soon for the medical congress but had planned a secret Bangkok trip with Hubby. Shh....

Had a crazy shopping spree this week on the excuse of "had to buy working clothes" and literally swiped a few hundred bucks. Revolution of new week: Stop buying! Paragon really is a place for nice clothes shopping. A good distraction away from conventional G2000.

Yes yes yes! Finally had completed the driving course. Yippy! I only get 12 demerit points on the first school's test. Am a good driver. Good news!! Hubby passed his TP on the FIRST time!! No more public transport for me.

Finally, all credit cards have arrived! No worries bout hitting credit limit! But will try to control on spending. Remember: New revolution.

Not all happy yippy whole week, got a bit of shock too. As we know to go Pakistan, you'll need a visa from the embassy. So Aunty Leslie and I went to apply for one and they say it'll take 3 working days. A call came the following day saying they will open till 6pm just to wait for us to collect our passports. When we reached there, we were so surprised to see the Pakistani Officers waiting for us! This officer who did our visa came up to me with his hard-to-understand English due to his accent "you're very pretty, my son 24 years old studying in London, very handsome, not married. I showed him your photo, he is interested in you. I hope you can be my daughter-in-law." My eyes poped out! Next, he showed me his son's photo (indeed nice-looking! Like those Bollywood actors.) and placed his arm around me and KISSED my forehead!!!!!!!!! My heart is in my mouth! Aunty Leslie was shocked too! When we wanted to leave, he kept asking me to leave my contact number. I tried not to but in order to leave the embassy, I gave him my office number. So far no Pakstani calls for me. Lucky!

Shopping indulgence of Man and Woman

13 March 2005

Never say "shopping is only for woman" anymore, at least this applies to my Gerald. Men also love to shop too! I was looking for clothes that night at Paragon, he saw a dress in the window display and went in the shop. At first, he only wanted to buy the 2 dresses that he saw and after I came out of the dressing room, he was standing infront with5 hangers of clothes on his hand waiting for me to try them on. So I went in and tried on all of them but he picked only 2. I changed back to my clothes and he is still looking for more! He took from the shelves and look at those he picked and deep in thoughts. I walk to and fro the dressing room at least 4 times that night in that shop. We went in at 7 and leave at 9! Now, after he's done with mine, he looked for his. He took 3 pieces and gave comments on them but still went in to try. He only bought one piece. When we ask for the bill, I have no idea that he'd actually picked so much clothes for me.

Men do indulge in shopping too. They wanna look good also! So, the theory only applies unless a guy doesn't wanna look good in his clothes.

Ups & Downs...

8th March 2005

Hey! Long time yeah? Yup... Finally a Lazy Queen no more! Got a job at last! Whoosh! Doing Medical Sales for Biotronik. It's our dear Aunty Leslie again. She got me into this company and she's a Consultant there as well! Isn't it nice to work with "relative" (she's Gerald's aunt)? Starts work on 4th Apr but had been gaining exposure to doctors and getting ready to start. Yup, been busy all these while.

Hurrah! Cards are here! Except for the prestigious Titanium card :( . Well got to swipe it for the first time today becuz of a miser. We had a meeting with the Regional MD, a German. So we decided to head to Starbucks for coffee and discuss work. He placed his order and before I could place mine, he's gone! In the noon when we had lunch at a Japanese restaurant, he did the same thing too! He sneaked off saying that he gotta make a call and Aunty Leslie gotta pay for the bill. I mean he's our Superior he should pay instead right? Ok, back to the coffee order, luckily I brought my cards out if not we won't have enough cash to pay! Hope I can claim it back...

Something terrible happened to us. I'm not going to touch on that but it's really serious problem between us. I was angry of course and he pleaded Guilty. Haha he got a hard pacifying me. According to him he says it's "blessing in disguise"! I don't catch what he means but it's definitely for better. Guess I'm gonna tag "Mrs Gerald" soon. A car, Min. limit of 10K savings plus a 1 Carat ring. Who won't say "I do"?

Ta-da~

1 March 2005

Chuck my T630 away last night and got a K700i. Hmm the new phone is much better than the T630 as everything seems to be "bigger" , "brighter" and "clearer". Wanted to get couple phones but the card's credit limit doesn't allow. So, end up getting K500i and K700i.

It's surprising that mobiles are getting cheaper and cheaper. With less than $300 can get you a contract-less handset and if it comes with contract the phone is FREE. 20 years ago, a big and clumsy mobile phone can easily cost more than a K.

Yup yup, gotta prepare for drving lesson. Hope can finish my Assessment today...
