Wow... The storm looks extemely scary today. Looks like an re-enactment from War of the Worlds when the tripods are being sent down.

On my way to NUH yesterday morning, a "weird" looking signboard caught my eye and it took me awhile to realise what that is. A newly created "Institute of Technical Education" was plastered over the old "ITE (Dover)" in the signboard. Institute of Technical Education... it really took a few seconds to translate to ITE. Are they trying to upgrade their name/class? All along ITE has been a local icon of "cannot-make-it" students and since then everyone condemns it. Now it "suddenly" changes itself to an Institute (all along it's institute but "ITE" has been stagnant for a long time), it really confuses me at first! Maybe the Government is trying to upgrade it's image. And recently it has been heard over the news that this "Instituition" is gonna spread it's wings to China, hoping that it will become Asia's top Technical Education school. Well, the thing is only a fraction of ITE students are willing to strive and work hard, what about the rest? So... What's your say?

I've been reading Gerrie Lim's "Invisible Trade: High-class sex for sale in Singapore", it talks about the ugly side of Singapore that we don't see --- escorts and prostituion. BDSM in this little red dot? It never occured to me until I read it. William Gibson quoted Singapore in Wired magazine as "Disneyland with the Death Penalty" because the sex industry is deem legal yet not legitimized. I can understand that because Singapore is still a conservative society! No wonder there's "legal" places like Geylang and Orchard Towers. The police raids these places only for over-staying foreigners and not for sex workers, at least these people are concentrated and confined to these 2 places if not all round the island. Which do you prefer? Can see that over the years Singapore is trying to "open" itself up but still has a long way to go...

Finally... scroll in my hands!!

So nice to meet friends again! Was Graduation Ceremony yesterday and was a hell lot of chaos. Not because of not being able to find our seats or the place was too crowded although there's such situation, but it's because I'm practically running around the place to take pictures! Joey here, Joey there... Haha!

Most probably, this will be the last time we're seeing each other. It was quite sad for me, cuz they're really a nice group of friends that helped each other to go through the Poly life. Will never forget the days how we spent our time waiting for classes at the Plaza, grabbing a place in that air-conditioned Foodcourt 4,make plans of when to go or when not to go for classes especially the 8am lectures, making fun of the lecturers because of the way they speak and the way they dressed, pin-pointing people that doesn't appeal to us (i know that's silly, but everyone does it!) and slacking and sleeping the time away during classes. All these fond memories will stay and wish them all the best!

I shouldn't have this kind of thinking in mind, she's even someone related to me. But I really can take it no more. She's pushing our limits too far. Seeing her leaving makes me feel so happy, elated! She can't stay for very long, so we have hard to push ourselves to make this day come faster. If she could treat us better, things won't turn out so bad. She will never be able to understand why this could befall. She should question hersself too, not only others. Everyone is hoping she'll learn. But I think this will never happen. My aim now? No more leaving, am staying! Staying to see her doom day... I pity her too, but can I still be an angel? No.

ps: we've given her a name too! Jabba the Hutt from Star Wars.

Desperate Housewives

The Season 1 finale of Desperate Housewives had finally ended last night. Rush-home Monday nights no more!!! Hopefully the Season 2 will come asap. The last episode still holds some unsolved mystery. Did Zack kill Mike? Did Mr Solis really went to jail because of whacking up that gay or did he had a fight with gardener John? How did Mary Alice died? What happened to Martha? Did Bree really knew what killed Rex? Many many questions. It's a nice show after all. It made us wanna go home especially on Monday nights. I hope I don't end up being a Desperate housewife. Haha!

Thinking hard on what to wear to Graduation Ceremony. Already got my clothes but no shoes! The booklet says: "Dark coloured shoes", "Examples of inappropriate attire: Straooy, open toed sandals". Have thought of wearing that pair of Enzo shoes, it's shoes, covered shoes... but exposes the toes a little. Dark coloured.... hmm... purple... So, can I still wear? Saw a pair from Nine West too, so tempted to buy!! Looks kinda sexy too (grinz).

Oh my gawwwwwwwwwd!!! Can't believe it! Nelson is dating an UNDERAGE girl!!! My goodness... His string of girls seems to be getting younger and younger. I think Gerald will go crazy if he finds out, mum and dad will faint when they knew. I'll just stand here and laugh... Maybe young girls are easy to tackle.

Yufen and I were walking along the alley that link up Takashimaya and Wisma yesterday and saw a school girl whose skirt is soooo short that we could see her underwear! We didn't give her any face and shouted "nice undies you had!". Guess she heard it and quickly ran away. People are too poor now to buy clothes with more cloth or just wanna show off their undies to the public? You know, it's so contradicting when they wore shorty skirts and keep pulling it down! Ok, so, if you're so scared to let people see ur undies why wear short skirts? And why keep pulling your skirt down when you want ti to be short? Well, why not don't wear any? Isn't that better? And please, if you really wanna show off your undies, make sure it's a proper one not those 3 for 10 bucks cotton granny panties, or those 1 for 2 bucks thongs or strings. At least something from CK or Blush.

Barely adult salesgirls and cashiers are getting out of hands too. Am I not your customer too? It's getting so rude nowadays. Do my dressing not look rich enough or don't have money to buy things from your store? Do you only serve me when I flashes my credit cards? I got so angry, I bought something and pay by my Titanium card, I signed and threw the receipt back to her. Nasty? Bet I am! Felt soooooooo good. Better behave girls!

Independence Day

First of all I'd like to wish my dear friend, Mr Bennie a Happy 22nd Birthday! OOps, sorry to reveal your age. He doesn't seemed happy to turn 22 through our hour-long conversation last night. "It's nothing fantastic after celebrating 21st" he said. So, am I going to feel this way too? Seems like his theory works, cuz those whom I know after celebrating their 21st brithday, nothing was continued the following years, including Mr Gerald's. His 22nd was quite a quiet one. Nah, not for me I hope.

I've traded-in my "recovered" K700i for K750i. Quite ex,very new in market, not much peepz has it currently. Can hear whispers whenever my phone is insight, "oei, that new sony ericsson phone leh...." It's a just a phone anyway, no need to "psst" and "oei". It's 2 Megapixel camera with 4X zoom took pictures a lot better than those in the current market. Too bad it only came in black, not pink...

Watched WOW (War of the Worlds), a show that has "wow" and "boo" factors. Not about the ending part where a lot of audiences complained. Obviously these people hasn't been reading the book at all, so please don't give any comments okie? It's meant to be this way. The only thing they changed is the scenerio, instead a man who went all odds to fight the aliens, it's about a man who wanna protect his kids and run to safety. Too much of Fanning and Cruise and too less of how others got to safety. Nothing can go wrong with Spielberg's flim, very different from conventional alien shows. Octopus-like aliens with optical lenses, ships buried instead of arriving from outerspace, aliens came in thunderstorms, no sight of mother ship. It's definitely a must-watch. Get your tics online to secure a good seat like what I did. Don't queue as no seats will be available for you to choose.

Another nice show is Green Chair, only for 21 and ablove. A love story between a minor and a lady in her 30s. Wath this show with an open mond. Wet Dreams 2 is also coming, am looking forward after the first sequel. This time it's about school girls instead of school boys. Too bad... NC16.

TGIF!

Woooo~ It's weekend coming!! Everyday we go to work we will always look forward to weekend. And when it's only Tuesday or Wednesday you'll say "huh? it's only Wednesday..." And when it's Friday, you'll shout "TGIF!!!!!!". Haha, I bet every working individual does this.

Thank God that my mobile "recovered" from a almost-deadly "accident". Imagine seeing the silver-coloured K700i dives into the pail of water in the pantry? Hope it doesn't happen to you. But better trade it off fast before "relapses" occurs. Hmm... Maybe S700i, V3, N3230 or O2 phone.

I think my boss is coming in next week. Hope she'll gives me the good news that I wanna hear. Flipped the Classified and find that there's a lot of job that can fill me in! So glad...
Well, I think it's that eccentric, yes ECCENTRIC woman that's driving us crazy, that makes us wanna leave this job. I mean, this job isn't as bad as we think, but that woman IS making this job difficult.

But... who cares, it's Friday anyway.
